By ways of partnerships with local non-profit agencies, local, state and federal police agencies, anonymous tips and fraud referrals, the office of investigations aims to improve the quality of life for HACY tenants and the community we reside in.
Housing fraud is a misrepresentation that allow a person to receive housing assistance for which he/she does not qualify. Below are some examples of housing fraud:
•Falsifying family composition
•Extra people or family members at the home
•Theft / Burglary
•Other criminal activity
•Renting one’s apartment unit to another
•Extra people in the apartment/home
