Public Housing

The Housing Authority of the City of Yuma manages more than 30 public housing locations (large developments, scattered and senior sites) throughout Yuma. The Public Housing Program consists of more than 250 housing units providing affordable housing to low-income families and individuals in Yuma.

HACY also administers a Tax Credit / Project Based Affordable housing with rents lower than the market rents.  Housing is privately funded, but managed by HACY.

All families must complete a written application.  By completing the application, your name will be placed on a list that is regulated by HUD.  The list is a database which is closely regulated.  You will be contacted when your names reaches the top of the list.  It is imperative that you update your application every time there is a change in you mailing address, phone number and family composition.  Many families are removed from the list due to undeliverable mailed correspondence.
